Senior Advisor

David is a Senior Advisor to the firm and a key member of the management team, supporting strategy, client development and mentoring of senior professionals. He has over 30 years of experience in PRC, Hong Kong and international tax, and previously held senior leadership roles in a Big Four firm including Head of Transaction Tax in Greater China and Managing Tax Partner in Hong Kong & Macau.

David specialises in deal advisory, IPO and pre IPO planning and post deal support, covering cross border acquisitions and disposals, joint venture and holding structures, tax and commercial due diligence, acquisition negotiations and post integration planning. His experience also includes tax controversy and incentives, transfer pricing and advance pricing arrangements, and broader business advisory for private equity and corporate clients across infrastructure, transport and logistics, retail, pharmaceutical, technology, manufacturing, services and other sectors.

At a’Asher, David focuses on firm development and governance, helping to shape service offerings, strengthen key client relationships and coach the next generation of leaders. He acts as a trusted sounding board to founders and senior executives on growth strategy, IPO readiness, risk management and people matters, drawing on his track record of leading large, multidisciplinary teams and major transaction mandates.
